Picture me, hopelessly aware that I was stuck in a fashion rut, yet feeling completely lost to do anything about it. See, malls intimidate me. Stores intimidate me even more, and heaven help me... I hate trying things on. HATE IT. I looked to Chic Shoppers to help save me from my fashion faux pauxs. They are, after all, the most fashionable people I know! We worked together to establish three shopping goals...

1) We needed to break me out of my box,

2) We couldn't break my piggy bank

and

3) I had to be honest if I hated anything.

Insert caveat here: If they told me I needed to try something on, I did.

We met at one of their favorite stores and got to work. Systematically, we started to work our way through the store as they picked out pieces that met our goals. Piece after piece, row after row... for over 2 hours we did this. And do you know what? I loved every second of it. That is HUGE from this anti-shopper. H-U-G-E. They actually managed to make the process fun.

We chatted, we laughed, we talked about how pieces could go together, we evaluated each outfit after it was on—giggling at the silly ones, and celebrating with each success. It was a learning experience for me.

I left with bags of Summer and Betsy-approved clothing that ever so gently pushed me out of my fashion comfort zone, and that didn't break the bank. Hurray!

More importantly, though, I left empowered, feeling like I could do this ... shopping ... on my own. And, for that, I will forever be grateful. Thank you, Chic Shoppers!! I cannot wait to do it

again!

My husband and I were invited to a black tie event. I had a red skirt that I wanted to wear but nothing else. I wanted to look sophisticated with a hint of sexy. I turned to the internet but was immediately overwhelmed and frustrated with all the options out there. I didn't know what to do and the clock was ticking.

Then I thought of Chic Shoppers. They are the most fashionable people I know. I emailed them and pleaded my case and sent the photos of the things that I had. Immediately, they went to work and the next morning when I woke up, there was an email waiting for me.

They sent me links to a whole outfit that I loved. And they added accessories that I wouldn't have thought of but totally made the outfit. I was in love.

Chic Shoppers helped me put together an outfit that was perfect for my event. I felt beautiful, sexy, and fashionable. Totally a girl's dream come!

I'm fairly recently divorced, and I'm now entering the dating world. I spend much of my time at work, so most of my clothing consists of suits or very casual shorts and T-shirts.

Summer and Betsy came over to my house for a wardrobe consultation and gave me great advice about what to wear on different dates. They saw the gaps in my wardrobe--for example, I didn't have any nice jeans--and advised me on what to keep and what to toss.

I went out the next day and bought several of the jeans that they recommended. I could immediately see a difference in the clothes they picked out. Now I'm ready to start dating again!
